A Little about me

I started my work as a therapist in the recovery industry.  In short time, I realized that the underlying pervasive thread with my clients was unresolved trauma.  I would listen to their stories of childhood and addiction, and I understood how much their minds and bodies suffered from not being able to process what happened to them.  At that point I knew I wanted to focus on trauma in my therapy practice.

I see clients from all different walks of life, not just suffering from addiction.  Clients come to me for broken relationships who are seeking to understand why their relationship(s) didn't work out.  I help them find answers and discover what they can do differently in the future.  I see clients suffering from past abuse and are seeking the freedom and empowerment to create the life they want without the anchor of their past.  I also see clients who have suffered from a "single incident trauma' like a car accident or assault. They want relief from their PTSD symptoms and take back their lives.

I try to be as much of a real person in the room as possible.  If you are looking for a therapist that is a blank slate then I’m not the right fit.  I believe in collaborating and creating partnership in the therapeutic relationship.  It’s comforting to know you are not alone in your struggles and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I also like to laugh whenever possible with my clients, therapy is not only hard work, but it can be uplifting as well.
